wasn't too hard. I'd suggest you go in as your old name, and make a post...just one, and I'll explain why tomorrow!

does it have anything to do with the fact that my old name posts up to a certain date, then this name posts from the day after til Date()? hehehe. yup, not too obvious ;-)

You could have covered the whole thing up, except this:

I looked at the date klooj_it was created. I then looked at a calender. From this I derived a hypothesis that you left work Friday as "Mr. X". Over the weekend you suffered through serious trauma. By the time you managed to get to work on monday, you were in no shape for thinking. With slight memory loss, and an important project, you knew there was only one place you could turn to for such fast, accurate help. Upon your browser's arrival at the aspmessageboard you forgot your login. Thus you created a new one. So your last post as "Mr. X" was on that friday, and you created the new one on monday. So you then shared your joy with us that you now have 2 names in the top 100. Since hitman was really really really really bored, and had an hour of time to waste, he searched for users in the top 100 who's last post was on or around may 10th(had you posted one recently under your old login...this would have ruined my search). Of the top 100, I comprised a list of roughly 8 names that were possible matches. I started (luckily) with people who's last post would fit my hypothesis. There were 2 names that were last used on 5/10/2002. So I went to the archives for 2002, and looked at a few posts from each and compared their typing and content to klooj_it. I found a close match with the second name... and to my delight it contained a link to your webpage. I knew klooj_it lived in PA, played the guitar, and he apparently has a terrible addiction to Pepsi. So I went to mapquest and requested a map of the city you're from. I then picked a city near yours to ask if you've heard of it. I feared that if I said your actual city, you'd know I knew immediately and you'd say its not around you. But instead of this, you explained it was a mile from your house. Bud-da BOOM bud-da bim

Hitman P.I.

:0)

is an understatement! but anyway, i don't know what i would have said if you said Drexel Hill... i probably would have said i live in drexel hill (well, until saturday when i no longer). i'm kinda neutral about keeping my name secret... i'm not gonna tell you, but i won't try that hard to keep it a secret. i knew when i signed up with the other name that my posts went from X/X/2001 to 5/10/2002... i didn't care. but, good job, inspector hitman. think about it though, if i was adamant about keeping my name secret, would i have said that i live in another State, or still PA? Would I have said i played guitar? oh well. DAMNIT i forgot to shave today :(

I am truly impressed. That was a singular job, worthy of Holmes himself.

I say it 'cause it sounds just like something I would do....Only you without a doubt did it better. :-)

That's right, I'd like to thank my boss for giving me the opportunity to exploit his valueable time! Actually, I was really really bored between 2 and 3:30 pm yesterday afternoon. All in a days work I guess. Hey klooj_it, is that little fridge full of pepsi in by your computer? For instance, can you sit there wailing away on the computer (or guitar) and just reach over and grab a cold one?

PS
What does John Holmes have to do with this? I know I'm sort of hung but that's irrelavant!

If you *hadn't* known, I wouldn't have expected you to add the first name.

But, I thought for the benefits of the wandering masses, I should clarify. <Grin />

no, i actually have to get up now.. at school, where that was, i would just push my big black leather chair with wheels!! back to the fridge, grab a pepsi, spin, and push back to my computer... i don't drink pepsi and play guitar... the cold can softens my skin, which then tears off much easier, just like during a hot humid day. you know the feeling.

Now, I don't do that, because it makes for a painful day of programming!

til i can't feel my fingers any more... that way, if i'm not looking, i'll hit a key like 'w' or 'e' or, well any left hand keys, about 6 times in a row without knowing it. well, anyway, i haven't been able to feel my fingertips for about 4 and a half years, ever since i started playing fast, like jimi hendrix - red house fast... not van halen - eruption fast... now i'm up to pearl jam - alive (the solo) and pearl jam - Evenflow fast. which still isn't van halen - eruption fast, nor van halen - hot for teacher fast... hehehe

That is one thing I regret. I learned without ever taking lessons. Now I live too far from anyone decent that offers them. My one buddy was talking about his dads friend gives lessons sometimes. Not sure what his prices are... but they said he is awesome at the blues. I'd like to learn the blues (correctly!). Sometimes I feel like a black man stuck in whitey's body (just kidding), but if my name was Stevie Ray this might be true!

for a year, before one day my teacher didn't show up without calling, and i never questioned... i've learned so much more without lessons, but it was essential to have that backbone. my teacher told me that in 1 month, we had covered as much as his normal students do in 4 months. i was proud. it was one of my strong addictions, so i couldn't put it down :) my family (although it's not really funny) joked that the guitar was attached at my hip, and had to be surgically removed to go to school. WAH-wah. i love the blues. you can play anything, and it sounds good, but when you listen to the real blues, you're like "I SUCK!!!". SRV and Jimi mainly, but BB King and Eric Clapton too. the end.
